June 1 through Nov. 30
Be sure to service your air conditioner before the next storm season.
1. Hurricane Strap Downs
You should also consider having your air conditioning system checked to ensure your condensing unit has hurricane strap downs. You should have them checked for strength and integrity, because over time, corrosion and rust can weaken them. Make sure your outdoor unit is properly strapped down to the concrete, as required by Miami –Dade County hurricane codes.
2. Armaflex Pipe Insulation
Make sure your pipe insulation is in good condition.
3. Water Proof Electrical Whip and Disconnect Box
Make sure your Electrical Disconnect Box and Switch are in good condition and your Electrical whip is not torn and in good condition.
4. Mark Unit Number on your Condensing System
Unit Number must be permanently marked on condensing unit.
Kings Creek South recommends annual or Bi-annual checkups of your Air Conditioning unit be performed by a licensed and Insured A/C Company. Inspections should be performed in April, before the summer season, and again in October, prior to winter. Please inquire about an A/C Maintenance Program with your Air Conditioning Company.
